Synopsis From Wikipedia:
The spirit of winter, Jack Frost (Chris
Pine), describes how he came to be hundreds of years ago, lifted
from the ice by the Man in the Moon, and has been invisible ever since because
people don't believe in him. At the North
Pole, North, better known as Santa
Claus (Alec Baldwin), is alerted that Pitch, the Bogeyman
(Jude
Law), has returned and is threatening childhood with fear. After
summoning fellow Guardians the Tooth Fairy (Tooth) (Isla
Fisher), the Easter Bunny (E. Aster Bunnymund) (Hugh
Jackman) and the Sandman (Sandy), North learns from the Man in the
Moon that they are to induct Jack as their new member. Jack is brought
to North's headquarters and they attempt to swear him in. Jack,
frustrated by centuries of isolation caused by children's disbelief in
him, declines to join. Regardless, North persuades him to cooperate for
now by explaining their mission and the looming threat of Pitch.
This movie brought me back to my childhood. I remember how fond I was waiting for Santa Claus during Christmas eve. I remember when my tooth fall off for the first time in my mouth and placed it under my pillow. I remember at school we celebrated Easter and I've heard about egg hunting. I remember having wonderful, fun and exciting dreams about becoming an astronaut one day. But as I grow I learned about my parents being santa claus when I sneaked out one night and saw them placing the gifts that I and my siblings wished for. I leaned to forget about the tooth fairy when all my tooth was already replaced by my wisdom ones. I learned all the fun facts and terms about Easter at school discussion but had not actually joined an actual egg hunting event. I learned about being realistic with my dreams and as I grow old and get tired after a long day at school and at work, I've had dreamless sleep.
We never had a Jack Frost in our country. We never had snow. We don't have winter in this country. We only have two seasons. Summer and Rainy days. In the past during December, we had cold weather. But as time goes, the cold weather is silently fading away. December is getting warmer each year because of the global warming. I love the cold. Back then, the cold is the only one that reminds me of Christmas. In my place, I kept hearing people saying, "I don't feel Christmas.. because it's hot!" or "Global warming is scary".
Anyway, I love this movie so much because it helped me remember them. It helped me know Jack Frost. The movie touched my heart several times and it even made me emotional at some points in the movie. And HECK! This movie was so funny!! I enjoyed this so much and I would want a sequel out of it. I think a sequel will happen... haha! not sure but I hope so. I want my younger brother and sister to watch this. I want to them to believe them (the guardians).
I love the storyline and the characters so much.. all of them. They were all remade, incredibly. The animation, the action and their facial expression.. everything was perfect. This movie has made it's own place in my heart! I love this so much! Definitely, this movie gave out the Christmas holiday feels! :)) And my rating for this:
5 out of 5 Stars!
And I should metion how GOOD LOOKING JACK FROST IS!!
