 THOUGHTS

Definitely, this is one of the most touching animated film I had ever watched. The movie was fun, exciting, scary, touching, magical and it's full of obvious lessons about family relationships. Merida is a princess, and she wants to be herself and have freedom. But her mother, the queen, which is very caring and perfectionist, wants Merida to be a proper princess. Merida refuses to be a proper princess and refuse to be betrothed.

I love Merida's relationship with her mom. They started off really close when she was still young and while she grows, she becomes distant because she does not want to be what her mother wants her to be. But as the story progresses, their relationship was strengthen because of an incident that happened, which is both a thriller and magical.

All mothers, I presumed, wants the best for their children. Mothers won't lead their children to harm. There is nothing wrong with being yourself and choosing the path that you would want to take. And what I have learned from this film is that, no matter how different you are from your mother, it is important that the love between you and her will always prevail. In arguments and differences, understanding must be made.

I love all the characters! Most especially Merida's three younger brothers! Those little devils!! They are so cute! There was this one scene in the dinning table where their father was like telling his story about his grand fight with a giant and scary bear, and one of the boys was like imitating him as he speaks! haha soo cute and funny!

I enjoyed the movie so much. And Merida doesn't even need a prince for this movie to work. HAHA! Definitely, this movie is for the whole family!
